Welcome to Mirrens Steak & Tapas Bar, situated down Parkers Lane in Newtown Powys, we offer guests a warm welcome to our restaurant and will make your stay as warm and friendly as possible. 

We aim for you to spend the night with us, so won't be asking you to leave as another table is booked, outside we have our beautiful terraces, with twinkly lights and heaters, blankets are also given to you so you snuggle up on colder evenings to enjoy your beverage.

EXCLUSIVE TO MID WALES AND MIRRENS the ultimate cooking experience:-

Our black rock grill menu, served on lava stones, these are heated in a special oven and reach temperatures of 440 degrees c, all our steaks, meat and fish are sourced from our local butcher who take great pride in his meats. Cooking on the stones requires no oils so it is low fat too (just remember to skip the home cooked chips and opt for new potatoes for an even lower fat meal)

Our menus now include Ifor Humphreys' Gold Award winning Wagyu beef, reared in the hills above Abermule.  The cattle are massaged and beer fed (lucky cows!!) to provide a steak that is truly divine!

Also our speciality steaks are now available incuding Kangaroo, Ostrich and Kudu.

We also offer a wide selection of vegetarian meals and have gluten free, yeast free and wheat free products and meal options available too.

 We have a lovely split level outside terrace area with some fantastic artwork done by the local artist Amy Bowen. Our seating is waterproof and the area is covered. We will supply you with a blanket if its cold plus will light the chimneas for you, very romantic!
